| ARKANSAS SUPREME COURT DECLARES CHECK CASHERS ACT UNCONSTITUTIONAL The Arkansas Supreme Court yesterday declared the Check-Cashers Act "Unconstitutional in its entirety." The court held that the Check-Cashers Act "clearly authorizes loans charging usurious rates of interest in contravention of the limits set forth in article 19, section 13, we hold that the Act, in its entirety, clearly and unmistakably conflicts with our constitution and is unconstitutional. We, therefore, reverse the order of the circuit court and remand for entry of an order consistent with this opinion." read more
